What is a ZO Chemical Peel?
ZO Chemical Peel is a brightening peel that uses patented products from ZO Skin Health. During the treatment a chemical solution is applied to the skin. The solution then works to provide a deep exfoliation and helps reveal new skin.
What are the benefits of a chemical peel?
Chemical peels are ideal for treating Melasma, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dull skin, and even acne! It is suitable for any skin type or colour.
Does it hurt?
You may feel a stinging sensation during the peel but it will not cause an excessive amount of pain or discomfort.
How often can I get a chemical peel?
Treatments can be repeated every week.
What areas can I treat with a chemical peel?
The most common area treated is the face; however this peel can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands and even the arms and legs.
How can I prepare for a chemical peel?
Avoid any form of laser hair removal, electrolysis, waxing or use of depilatory creams one week prior to the peel.
3 to 4 days prior to the peel, discontinue the use of topical retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol and other potentially irritating products.
After the chemical peel, your skin will start to exfoliate 2-3 days post treatment. Avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen to protect your skin.
