Laser Vein Treatment

About Laser Vein Treatment

CoolGlide Vein Therapy for the Face & Body

The Cutera CoolGlide delivers a superior vascular laser system by combining the ideal wavelength with the most flexible parameters. The treatment is safe, effective and quick treating a wide range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins. No matter what skin tone, the results will be outstanding.

What types of veins can be treated?

Except for knotty varicose veins, the Cutera CoolGlide can remove veins from all parts of body. The small facial veins can be removed quickly with no complications or bruising. CoolGlide can treat leg veins and spider veins with excellent results. Consult your physician to decide what treatment is best for you.

Who can be treated?

Due to the long wavelength and unique design of the Cutera CoolGlide, patients with light, dark or even tanned skin can be treated.

What about blood blisters and port wine stains?

CoolGlide has successfully treated patients with Port wine stains and blood blisters even those who had given up on finding a solution.

Do the treatments hurt?

There may be a stinging sensation during the treatment due to the delivery of energy pulses. Many patients use topical anaesthetic before treatment. After the treatment, there will be minimal or no pain at all.

Any restrictions on activity after treatment?

You can go back to your normal activities right away but vigorous activities should be avoided for the first 24 hours. Exposure to sun should be limited and sunscreen should be used.

CoolGlide compared to Sclerotherapy?

Many physicians prefer CoolGlide vein therapy because there are no injections involved

How many laser vein treatments do I need?

One or two treatments are usually enough, but it depends on the colour, size and number of vessels to be treated.

Any possible side effects after laser vein treatments?

There are usually no side effects except slight reddening or swelling of the skin. These effects will usually recover within 24 hours. Some patients might experience bruising, or in rare occasions, blistering.
